Model Details

This model utilizes the Peng-Robinson equation of state to determine the phase composition and properties of a binary mixture at a given temperature and pressure. Users can input the overall composition, temperature, and pressure to calculate the fraction of vapor and liquid, as well as the composition of each phase. It serves as a fundamental tool for designing separation processes like distillation and absorption. The interface allows for visualization of the phase envelope and the flash point on a P-T diagram.
